About
CrossMyPart is an electronic-components search and BOM-sourcing tool. Engineers and buyers find the exact part, a compatible alternative, or a cross-reference — each with a transparent match score — alongside live pricing.
Once a bill of materials is sourced, CrossMyPart creates purchase orders automatically in Odoo ERP.
Visit live productChallenge
- Finding equivalent parts across manufacturers is slow, manual, and error-prone.
- Pricing and stock change constantly across distributors.
- Sourcing a full BOM meant copy-pasting between spreadsheets, supplier sites, and the ERP.
- Some distributor catalogues have no public API to integrate with.
Timeline
Mapped the sourcing workflow and the data each step needs.
DigiKey API integration and a Playwright indexer for the LCSC catalogue.
Search, match scoring, BOM upload, and cart.
Automatic Odoo purchase orders over JSON-RPC.
Our approach
- Indexed over a million parts by combining the DigiKey API with a Playwright-based LCSC indexer.
- Built a match-scoring engine that explains why a part is a good cross-reference.
- Added BOM upload (CSV/Excel) so a full build can be sourced in one pass.
- Connected Odoo ERP so sourced BOMs become purchase orders automatically.
